Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
These terms explain the rules for using The Wrestling Journal app and website (together, "the App"), run by Horton Press ("we" or "us"). We wrote them in plain language for athletes, parents and coaches. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to them.
1. Who can use the App
The App is built for wrestlers, their parents or guardians, and their coaches. When you sign up we ask for your date of birth or for you to confirm your age.
If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use the App, and they should read these terms and our Privacy Policy with you. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create an account without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has an account without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
2. Your account
You sign up with your email address and a password, or with Sign in with Apple. We send a verification code to your email to confirm it is yours. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
3. Your journal and goals belong to you
Your journal entries, weekly plans, technique notes and goals are your content. You give us permission to store and show them to you, and to share them only in the ways you choose in the App, so we can run the service.
Journal entries are private by default. If you join a team, your coaches can see your membership and completion information (for example, whether you journaled today and your streak). Coaches see what you wrote only if you turn on journal sharing for that team, and you can turn it off at any time.
4. Teams and coaches
Coaches can create teams, invite athletes, approve join requests, suggest goals, and comment on shared work. Coaches use the App and Your Team Manager (yourteammanager.com) to manage their teams. Coaches agree to use athlete information only to coach their own team and to keep it private.
5. Be respectful
When you use the App, you agree not to:
- Post anything abusive, harassing, hateful, or sexual, especially toward minors
- Pretend to be someone else or create accounts for people without their permission
- Try to access other people's accounts or data, or break or overload the App
- Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the App
6. Subscriptions
Some features may require a subscription bought through the Apple App Store. Apple handles payment, billing, renewals and refunds; we never see your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions).
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App can send reminders and alerts, such as when a coach comments. You can change these in the App's reminder settings or in your device settings.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself in the App, or ask us to by emailing support. A deleted account is disabled right away and kept for 30 days; signing back in or resetting your password during that time restores it. After 30 days, deletion is complete: no record of the account is kept, and its profile, journal entries, goals and any comments made by or about you are permanently removed.
9. Suspension
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
10. No guarantees
The App is a training and reflection tool. It is not medical, nutrition, or weight-management advice. We work to keep the App available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be error-free or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the App.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will let you know in the App, and you may be asked to accept the new version to keep using it.
